studio recording. If you don't own one, you can rent them at an affordable rate. It will significantly make a big difference in capturing vocals and instruments as appose to using cheap microphones.
While recording, make sure to monitor all signals so that they do not peak or distort. Make sure to pay attention to any red blinking lights. If you see the red lights blinking, then you know there is distortion. Distortion cannot be fixed in the mixing and mastering process. It can only be fixed through re-recording. |
